A lot of vette guys do it on C6's. Do you guys think something like this would work on the CTS-V's?

I never would which is why I carry a full-size spare. I want to be able to drive "normal" even after a flat. There are only two types of people that drive on peanut spares; criminals and drug dealers............, and it's always in rental cars. :)

I believe he is referring to using them as front runners at the drag strip, not for street use.

Exactly.

I would be interested in knowing if they would fit as well.

the problem is the speed rating on those donut tires. I really doubt they are meant to go 125 plus mph.....

I saw LPE has a custom drag pack on their ZR1 with skinny fronts, but im sure it aint cheap by any means....

I think most sane people change out the donut tires... but there are idiots out there. LOL

Depending on the size, there are options. Looks like they may be 17s. There are both radial and bias tires available.

would the calipers clear?

what are calipers?

would the calipers clear?

Thats my main concern. Going to order some 1" bolt on spacers and see where clearance sits after that. If we could have a small/light weight drag front it would help a lot

You should contact Bogart Racing Wheels and see if they can make a front wheel for the V.

Back when I had my Cobra, I had Bogarts (15X3.5 front 15X10 rear) as they were the only racing wheels that actually incorporated the spacer as part of the wheel in order to clear the large Cobra calipers.

It'll depend on how much weight is actually shed from the vehicle. When I still had my 370Z, one of the forum members were planning on using spare tire wheels as front runners. Iirc, it saved about 20 lbs per side. I guess that makes a difference in a car weighing only 3300, but aren't ours in excess of 4200.

I am guessing with the sedan the spare tire well is not home to the sub-woofer.
