Went to a rental today. Not the best conditions but could have been worse.

1st pass on my 305/35/18 mt et radials on c5z06 wheels got me there.

1.77 60 foot and a 11.88 @ 121

Then made a 2nd pass but the car was hot so it went 12.0.

Grabbed a bag of ice, sat it on the supercharger and got it back to ambient.

Rolled up, did a big burnout. Got up on the converter has hard as I could and not have it push thru and let it go.

1.69 60
7.62 @93 1/8
11.79 @121

Decided I was happy and didn't want to beat on the car for not a great increase in time.

Mods are a dealer installed lpe630. I think the tune needs some work since I'm sure they have it very conservative.

But overall I'm very happy. The car got more attention than a 3 eyed cat today in a sea of mustangs. Baby seat in the back too! Lol

Nice runs . Congrats .

Couple of questions...

Do the C5Z wheels fit without any modifications or spacers? What size and offset?

What was the DA?

Do you know what your whp is?

Thanks :)

18x10.5 c5z06 factory wheels with a spacer. Not sure of the exact offset but should be factory.

Da had to be in the 800 to 1000 range. But I haven't calculated it yet. Baro was 29.9x and humidity was 45ish and dew was 43 when I looked earlier. Capitol is around 100 above sea level even though they say 41 feet.

I figure it's probably 510-530 at the wheels depending on what dyno I got on. Might take it somewhere and get he tune looked at but it's plenty fast for everyday use for me.

Faster than my bolt on c5, so that was a bonus.

Another good illustration of why it is said, it basically "all" happens in the first 60' feet!

General rule of thumb is 1.5 tenths in quarter for every tenth you drop your 60 foot.

You got it. Want to improve ET, improve the 60' !

What's the secret to getting better than upper 1.6's with only ~520-540 at the wheels? You guys with the 1.4's and 1.5's are you hitting it with nitrous to get it moving?

I didn't know if anyone changed the converter or something.

FWIW, the guys running 1.49 ( like Curtis) and 1.5's like GNX ( Larry) and Drumstix in the 60' are all making significantly more power than you and are not using nitrous "to get out of the hole". To the best of my knowledge they are running the stock converter and are leaving the line at idle.

If I'm not mistaken I don't think you launched at idle. Don't be surprised if trying an off idle launch helps your 60' and ET.

My off idle was best ET ever. Did it by accident.

Probably flashes the converter. I will give that a try.

Yes sir, that is how I got those three 1.9xx 60s the other day on the PS2's at the 1/8 mile track. I am really happy you got such an improvement from the drag pack. I will have mine very shortly and will update with my new 60 and 1/8th mile results.
