anyone seen pics of a CTS with a owner installed V8? would think a RWD chassis would lend itself to a V8 swap. maybe the salvage market for CTS cars is so minimal that it never happens.

I believe it's called the CTS-V.

Saw on one of the horsepower tv shows one guy put a buick GN motor in a new cts....don't think a v8 swap is worth the money into a base cts...cheaper to buy a V.

Yep - cheaper to buy a V and less headache, you will be free from all the trouble caused by engine swap.

Unless you want a specific engine/trans configuration in the car and have $$$$$, I don't think people would do it.

waste of money to remove a good running V6 motor/trans. but if someone found a CTS at a salvage yard, they could end up with a nice ride. most CTS-V's are much more pricey than a V6 version. i am not saying make a cts-v clone. but take a cheap V6 car and give it some power.

You can pick up 1st gen CTS-v's, nice ones for 15-20k all day long. Why anybody would bother with a motor swap is beyond me. Same thing for turbocharging or putting a blower on the v6, waste of time when the v8 models are that cheap and have such a huge aftermarket.

ok. lets stick with my question. anyone seen one? don't care about money issues. if you have not seen one, i don't want you to respond and say, nope, never seen one.
