I am thinking about upgrading to a Phillips 4300k kit but i dont want my foglights to look like a different color... are the housings too small to put another HID kit in those too? I dont want to melt the housing with the added heat of the HIDs, as I know this IS a problem on some cars. Also, is there a company that makes an LED bulb that will match the 4300k color for the parking light?

HID's burn cooler than halogen bulbs.

Yes, but in the case of my last car... 2007 GMC Yukon, even with the cooler temps of an HID bulb the fact that it is much longer in size, it was too close to the lense which would melt it... I wasnt 100% sure with the Yukon, however, because the foglights were not normal halogen but acutally an incandesent bulb, as in the same type of bulb that is in your normal house lamp, so adding an HID to that housing would eventually melt it.

I see. There are quite a few forum members that have put HID's in the fog lights, so I think it must be safe.
