Do the C5 Z06 wheels bolt-up without any modification?

I had a slight and I mean slight rub on the right & used a 1/4 inch spacer from Jegs last year.
This year I grinded some of the spring perch away thanks to a forum members advice & no more spacers!

The front c6 z06 wheels work on the V rears without spacers. Do a search for gnxs thread on this setup.

i have the c6 front's and MT's on my car, no rub. You can pick them up for dirt cheap from vendors on here and on ls1tech.

I can't say how much they cost because my brother bought them for me for my x-mas present. Just do it, you won't regret it. Your not gonna find em for cheaper unless your really lucky.

Here are a few pics of my car.

Keep me updated with what you find. I'm also looking for a drag setup. I've seen replicas from 18x to over 200 per wheel.

Hey did you pay to have them heat cycled?

no, I usually take them out on the street the night before and do a couple of big burnouts.

Ok just curious...good luck. I hope you have good results at the track man. I am about to pull the trigger on the setup as well, just can't decide if I want the sypder wheels or the ones you bought...

I would have gone with the spyders if the cost was a little closer. 131 for c5 z06 wheels vs almost 300 for the spyders made the decesion easy.

any of the vendors on corvette forum, as well as ebay, and ls1tech....most everything was over 200 that was 19x10.5

I'll make some calls and see what kind of "group buy" deal I can get, and how many orders it would take to get a decent deal. Who else is interested?

If we can get 10 people, I don't see why we wouldn't be able to get some kind of discount. I can line-up something for the wheels, does someone want to try the same thing for the tires?

I'm in for wheels and tires. Before seeing this group buy idea, I sent Bob's an email about a single set. Haven't heard back yet.

****UPDATE****

I called Bob at "House of Wheels," which happens to be local to me. I mentioned the group buy aspect, and he felt it would be more beneficial if people just called him individually and he would work with people on the prices. He's a nice guy and pretty easy to work with. He doesn't have a ton of the C6 Z06 Spyder fronts in stock, but a ton of rears ---- for obvious reasons.

You can go with either a reproduction wheel, or original GM speedline. Personally, I'm just using this pair for the track and don't need the GM wheels. For a pair of reproduction C6 Z06 Spyder wheels in competition gray or black, it's $440/pair. For the OEM, it's $700/pair, and I believe he has one pair of powder coated black ones in stock.

Another alternative that he has a ton of, are the Grand Sport wheels, which are the exact same size. He will sell those, GM speedline version, for $440/pair, same as the reproductions for the Z06 spyders. I'm going to likely pick up the pair of Spyder reproductions in competition gray this weekend.

His number is: 561-445-7606.

Anyone have a lead on the best place to buy the tires?

440 a pair isnt that great, now I dont feel so bad about getting the C5Z06 wheels at 262 shipped.

i ordered my tires from american muscle that was posted in the other thread about the 305's. my only caution is be careful with payment. I used my debit card with discount tire and american muscle and nowhere else online recently and today I had 1600 dollars in frudulant charges on my debit card.... :(

$440 isn't horrible, you might be able to get them for a little less. But he's local to me and I can go pick them up this weekend, so what might be a decent and convenient deal for me, might not be for someone else.

Looks like I may have to follow your route with C5Z06s since shipping to HI is crazy. That 440 pair would easily turn into over 600 for me. Thanks for the heads up regarding the fishy charges.

I'd be in on a GB if the price is around $400 for a pair. I thing a GB on MT 305's would be a hot seller too.
