I opened that link and started wondering if you guys put your screens on TV trays or something. :shifty

$1,200 is undoubtedly expensive, but not out of line for quality furniture ...the $1.8 million makes a lot more sense.

I never though id spend more than $100 bucks on a table, i didnt know shit haha. As a man who lived by himself I balked at $2-3-400 tables. If someone told me back then id spend 1600 on a dinner table id have laughed at them.

I still don't understand $20G on kitchen cabinets. While I may know expensive, I'd rather take classes, buy high end woodworking tools and make my own...

For real. I learned how expensive furniture was last year. I wanted a god damn wood futon, but I was NOT (read: am not) dropping $400+ on a nice one with arms and shit.

Real life sucks. I want my internetz back.

A $1200.00 TV stand? I'd rather spend that on the TV and put it on a 150.00 WalMart stand.

$1200 doesn't get you much of a screen. :shifty
...and they're supposed to be mounted on walls now people. Gah. :p

Actually, if you wait til the end of the model year you can get even better deals on TVs than you can on cars. We got a 4000.00 Sony for 2k WITH a BluRay player and the 3D Kit (HX909 with the full array LED backlighting) but I sold that one because I found an even better deal on the Samsung C9000. That's the one that has that spiffy (and gimmicky) remote control that can show a double video image and sound of whatever's on the main screen, has a motorized control panel that comes out from the stand, and is about as thick as two quarters. It was a 2010 model that retailed for 5k and I think it was about 1400. 1200 for 2011 can just about get you a Panasonic ST30 Plasma which is a better TV than last years VT25 (the top of the line), on the plasma side. Similar deals to be had in DLP and Projectors if you must have a ginormous screen.

As for the 150, pretty sure WalMart always has some variation in stock of those metal and glass stands for flat panels that allow you to create the illusion of wall mounting by being mounted to a vertical portion of the stand itself, which is good enough for me.

And yes I realize this thread was about the 1.8 million dollar stand, but even 1200 would be way more than I'd ever care to drop on some particle board and glass, or even wood.

I knew what the thread was about, I just still think 1200 bucks for a stand is a touch high.
