Well, this may be the last generation for the GMC Acadia.. I think it's moving to Cadillac in 2015.. Just sayin'... Cadillac’s global marketing boss, Jim Vurpillat, said so.

Why? I really hope this won't become the next generation Escalade.

We've heard rumblings about a Lambda-based Cadillac for a while, but I'm surprised they're talking about killing the GMC variant so soon after introducing the Denali model.

They're not killing the Escalade any time soon. This won't be a replacement for it.. This is partially the reason why the new SRX was made smaller - to allow for this Lambda vehicle to place in between IT and the Escalade... I would not be surprised, however, if by some time after 2020 this new vehicles grows a bit in size to take over the Escalade sales... But that's just me guessing...

huh, Cadillac is building SUVs, trucks and crossovers.... I hope at least GMC starts to build some full sized V-8 powered premium sedans....

I can picture a really nice Crossover Acadia sized with Cadillac styling.. The Buick Enclave is really nice but it's not exactly a Cadillac inside or out...

A Cadillac Lambda would be gorgeous...but it would need a different engine...

Yeaaaah, that's not going to happen.. Well, we ARE talking about 4-5 years from now.. So who knows? Maybe we'll see a twin turbo V6 or even a small, economical V8.
