Where are you located? I'll swap if we can do it in person. My car is an auto though.

Mine is an automatic also and I'm in San Diego. My vehicle currently has 575 miles on it and the steering wheel is like new. If I do this, the exchange parts will need to be in equal condition.

Had alcantra steering wheel on my bmw for seven years before i sold it. Loved the feel of it, but it gets looking nasty after 50-60 thousand miles. Ordered a new one through turner motorsport and it worked great. Dont know why you are wanting to get rid of it, but if it's a wear issue, there may be a replacement source out there. Just my two cents.

Doh and I don't think I will be traveling to San Diego in the near future.

Well, my back is a little sore. Why do you ask? Do I look pale?

I just like the look and feel of leather better.

The suede looks nice but the leather steering wheel is actually considerably thicker AND of course after a few miles is much much easier to grip.

Awful. Absolutely not. The swayde is always going to be better to grip...

I was afraid I might not like the sueded wheel and shifter when I ordered it. After getting it, I have absolutely no regrets! I love the way they feel. :cool2: If they wear out in 50,000 miles I'll just buy another set. The only thing I would like better would be a combo wood/sueded wheel to compliment the wood trim.

+2. I thought I wanted the alcantara as well for a while, but after the post in which an owner's wife ruined it with her lotioned hands, I was turned off. Regular leather feels just fine, thanks, and is more durable.

Synthetic microfiber wears extremely well. And leather doesn't feel fine at the track with sweaty palms. The swayde is superior. And it's fine when putting the lotion on the skin...
