Need to get new tires. Anyone found them at a good price?

Unless you know a dealer, just try local shops and you might get lucky. I bring Tire Racks prices, and save at least the shipping usually. Secondly, call Discount Tire direct since the prices seem to be different than online. This has been my experience at least.

+1 on America's/Discount Tire. They beat TR by 50 bucks on a replacement front tire I just bought from them. Shipped to local store.

I might be able to get you the deal I got on my last Curtis... PM me if your interested.

I don't want to post the price and get overwhelmed but it was way cheaper than my prior set from Discount

PHX,

Thank you! I will PM you when I make a decision on the tires. I am also considering the RE-11s since I rarely get into it on the public roads.

Not sure how much time you have but I know someone getting ready to mount a set of RE-11's and should have some feedback soon and he is putting down some solid power.

As far as I know Costco, is very hard to beat, (if you are a member). $1100.00 for 2 rears, which included install, balance, and taxes. And they fill them with nitrogen at the store I frequent.

Curtis, I have been wondering about the "Ford Dealer" national ads that say that they will beat any price on four major brands and they say Michelin is one of the brands...it would be worth a call to Ford to see what they say...I got my new ones from a Goodyear Store in Gurnee...$1852.86

Thanks everyone! I had the wheels off yesterday and took a good look at the (s)wear bars. I think I can get by this season without buying new PS2s. MAN ARE THEY EXPENSIVE. Anyway, I am not thoroughly convinced yet to buy the RE-11s for the $500-$600 less just yet. On a side note, I need to buy some fresh MTs for my drag set-up.

I may go with the RE-11s and MTs. It will be about the same as a set of PS2s.

Regardless, I really appreciate the posts!

Just ordered two rears (PS2s) from Tire Rack at $469 each. My dealer wanted $596 each, and wouldn't budge. He said his cost is what Tire Rack is selling them for. Oh well......

Have the dealer install them and show them the invoice...

Tire Rack is $469.00 each. Costco seems higher.

Depends - 99Y speed rating = $543.99 on Costco Online's web site; 99Z = $457.99, both were same sized PS2 tires, (oem rear size). Which speed rating were you referring to?

Discount Tire has the fronts for $315, but they are "only" rated for sustained speeds up to 186 though, but not over.

RobThere are actually two rears with 99Y load index/speed rating; the OEM Item # specific to our cars is 46032. The front is 87716. They will have "TPC" molded into the sidewall. If you want to go with the tires Michelin specifically made to GM's specs for our cars, that is.
