Does anyone know if this would have any adverse effects on a caddy?

From my understanding this is basically just having a button that makes you have the equivalent of straight pipes temporarily... i dunno... help please!

MY decision is between this or new magnaflow exhaust, but I'm leaning significantly toward these.

My dad had one of these on his model T Ford except it worked with a bowden cable. I wouldn't be surprised if you could still buy them at J. C. Whitney like he did. Somehow I always associate stuff like this with teenage hill billies. Maybe we have another customer for Jeff Foxworthy.
