: sts-v wont start :starting disabled theft system light came on

my 2008 sts-v wont start about two weeks ago.and the starting disabled theft system light came on.any one knows how to fix this.
also sometimes it would not go into park.
any pointer would be much appreciated.

Sorry for your problem, but I think you are in the wrong forum!

The shifter not going into park would normally be a shifter linkage problem which can cause the battery to drain. Once the battery is low, you could get a key not sensed and it won't start.

Your Transmission Position Sensor is bad (Neutral Safety Switch). Happened to a lot of us STS-V owners.
