So my brother invites me over to his office because there is something I need to see. Sitting inthe bosses office across the hall from his is this barn find. Apparently the original owner bought it, parked it, was soon diagnosed with cancer and the car sat. As far as I know its all original except that the seats were reupholstered and maybe the top but I couldnt see it.....

Wow, I wonder what that's worth...

I'm still on the fence...do I prefer the 1966-67 big block Corvettes or the 1968-71 big block Corvettes? I think I like the 68-72's overall, but I think the 66-67 has a more timeless look to it. Chevrolet could release that now and still look fresh.

I heard about what he paid for it and apparently the Barrett Jackson people said it could have been twice as much if it was untouched right out of the barn. The owner also has a 63,64,65, and a 66 to go with this 67. Also in his garage is a 64 Mailbu making 1600hp. Coal keeps the lights on!

The 67 427/435 is BY FAR my favorite Corvette ever. I prefer the later C3 bodies (80,81,82) to the early Sharks

that should bring some serious money, easy six figures. it looks like a 427/435 car with a lot of options. I had a 79 Pontiac Trans-Am that I bought new and when I sold it ten years ago it had but 6k on the clock.

Id hardly call it a barn find if it was auctioned at Barrett Jackson, low miles or not.

:yeah:

Maybe the inside of the tent at Barrett Jackson was decorated like a barn that day or something...

It was in a barn for literally decades. The owners kids found it, sold it, the second owner redid the seats, maybe the top, and possibly rechromed the bumpers but its hard to tell. Not sure how long he had it before going to Barrett where it was sold to the current owner. The dash and paint have some fade to them, a bit of swirl in it and a couple of stress cracks in the fiberglasson the front end, near the front corners of the hood.
