Hey guys,

I'm at the stereo shop right now. We're putting in a new Sony Nav double din head unit, a sub amp, subs, a 4 channel, and some components. The adaptor that they have gotten for the car apparently will cause me to lose all Class 2 data. What all is this? Anyone know? If it's just OnStar, that's great. I just don't need to be having any big issues. Any and all help is VERY appreciated. Especially expert RAPID help! :bouncy:

Oh, it's an '04 CTS-V.

Thanks,

Jared

Class II is all your warning flags and interaction with the radio buttons.

Save the stock nav and see if they can relocate it to the trunk or something, just hooking up power and OBD/C2 lines. This is why I'm planning with just going for a OEM integration EQ when I start with the stereo stuff.....too much runs through that nav unit to ditch it entirely.

I'm also guessing you're not losing the entire bus, since then you'd lose door buttons etc etc, just that the new radio won't be hooked up to it.
