Many thanks to James Quinn at Les Stanford Chevrolet Cadillac in Michigan for everything he has done so far. I requested to get it built in Crystal Red with the Satin Graphite wheels (un-orderable combo :shhh: ), and James made it happen! It will be shipped to a dealer about 35 miles from my house for delivery, hopefully I'll be driving it by the middle of April. :cool2: It's gonna be a long few weeks waiting for it to come in.

CONGRATS! James is the best! I wouldn't dream of getting my new Cadillacs from any other dealer!

Grats James....if you have time get Stanford to set up a visit to the plant in Lansing while your car is being built. I went up in December and watched my V Coupe being built and it is loads of fun to see you car come to life. I highly recomend it if you can make the time. Enjoy your ride.....:cool2::cool2::cool2:

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately I am in Arkansas, and my schedule right now won't allow me to get up there to the plant this week. I thought about that weeks ago, but I have so much going on at work I couldn't make it work.

Congrats!

The idea of going to the plant and watching your car get built sounds so awesome. Too bad you couldn't budget the time for the trip.

What's the "highway safety kit"? Like a tool kit or something?

Yeah it's some overpriced jumper cables, first aid kit, etc.

WOW, it gets even better. My car had a TPW of 3/28, but it actually rolled off the line this past Friday, and is at status 4B00 right now. It's waiting to be loaded on a train!

Need help banner. That's comical. They could at least put those signal triangle things instead.

And woohoo! :highfive:

James Quinn at Les Stanford strikes yet again! He was able to get my car built 3 weeks before it's actual TPW date. The guy works magic at GM. CONGRATS!!!

Not yet. Last update from Tuesday was that it was on a train around South Bend, IN, headed to it's rail destination in Arkansas. Hopefully soon!

Just looking at the sticker and can anyone tell me why the Gas Guzzler tax is only $1300 when it is $2600 for the CTS V Coupe I am getting?
Congrats on your purchases.

I got the stick, you got the auto. :)

Should have held out for the stick...more appropriate for the Coupe anyway. Thanks for the information...would have never thought of that....realistically makes the auto a $1300 option.

Just got off the line with Cadillac customer service and they confirmed for the Coupes that the tax is $1300 for manuals and $2600 for auto's. I guess the EPA gas figures which I could not compare must be very different.

Caddy Wagon

EPA difference is 1MPG lower in the city and hightway on the auto. $1300 for 1MPG, lol.

It has arrived! The truck dropped it off at the dealer this afternoon, I get to take delivery Monday. :bouncy: Sorry for the crummy pic, the lighting in the service bay wasn't the best.

Lol I felt pretty stupid, it took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to get the odometer to display.
