I was wondering if anyone knew if i had to install a electric brake control unit for a trailor that has electric brakes.

The former owner of the trailer said i needed to install one somewhere inside the cab, and there should be a harness or wires i connect it to.

I was under the assumtion that the wiring harness we have on the Escalade was complete for all trailors.

Please help and advise, and thanks in advance!
