That's about what I got when she was brand new--well under 200. Now I get 280-320 (320 all highway)

What do you get when you do a MPG check? Miles per tank isn't relative since you might be filling it differently each time. In all city driving, I'm getting at least 225. Maybe it's your foot? :)

Since the Wagon is about 200 pounds heavier then its two siblings, I bet it has the lowest gas mileage of any passenger car on the current market. After 1500 miles of easy break in driving, it shows 16.8 average MPG.

I wish my average were 16.8.

I get about 220-230 miles per tank and 14 mpg in mixed city-freeway.

I'm at around 500-600 miles too and I just about had heart failure at first. Seemed like I had to fill up when I drove to the store. However, the last fill up and a decent freeway drive showed 20 mpg and that makes me feel a lot better. By the way, what is the best way for a break in? I've heard all kinds of ways. Drive it like you stole it, drive easy from 1K mikes, drive medium (what is that?).

My car now has 15'163km. I bought it with 10'645km and used 769l of fuel for my 4518km, so that's around 17l/100km, or 13.8MPG for you Americans. Horrible, but if you care you bought the wrong car. It's not my daily driver, got public transportation for that (and for peace of mind).

I drive mostly suburban roads with lights.
Average about 180-190 miles before I have to fill'er up.
Pretty much the same as my previous M5...

No matter what measurement ( English or Metric) one uses, thirsty is still thirsty. After all that's why it's sold with a gas guzzler tax!

is the car suppose to get better mileage after it breaks in? I heard a intake can help MPG. Anybody seen a difference

Its interesting how everybody is getting a huge range of different miles on the tank.

Not that interesting....there are so many factors in determining mileage....

mods or no mods....city stop/go driving or freeway commute....lead foot or hypermiling (I tried it in the V once as a joke, it's not real fun)....etc.

The mileage does improve a small amount once the engine breaks in.

According to my tracking on fully.com, I'm averaging 14.1mpg. I do mostly stop and go traffic to and from work. The Vette did a little better around 17mpg.

Thank god... i was getting worried. had the car now for 4 days and i'm about to have to fill the tank up for the THIRD (!!!) time (no joke). Getting about 160 miles/tank, but then again, i have been pretty heavy on the gas.

In the 2005 V i could get an easy 220 miles/tank, and that was half city, half highway. Was hoping I could get over 200 miles/tank on this beast :/

This baby definitely needs a bigger fuel tank! My car has just shy of 1000 miles and no matter how I drive it I am lucky to show 14 mph on the in car computer! Getting around 225 miles per tank.
Sounds like it does get better with more miles?

I normally get from 320-360 miles per tank in freeway driving, depending upon how aggressive I am with the accelerator and how much I trust the range computer. My highway mpg is around 21 and my comfort range is around 320 miles before I look for a (top tier) gas station.

It's sad to say my escalade gets better mileage. On my trip back from getting my LPE work done, we had to fill up 2 times in 320 miles. Lol

I get 185mi / tank, all city, refilling before the light goes on. That includes having fun with occasional bursts to the red-line. Hard driving does not seem to hurt the mileage that much. In get consistent 15mpg in normal city driving.
Fuel consumption clearly improves during the break-in periond, (I followed the manual's instructions).

Me too. Took the V on a road trip with it showing less than 3000 miles when I started and almost 5000 when we got back. Mileage was just under 19 on the drive south and around 20.5 on the drive back. The road trip included +-150 miles at speeds of 110 or more. So, our V may be broke in now. I'm thinking it will improve some more over the year like my Vette did. 21+ MPG would be nice at 75.

i get about 260 to a tank and then have to put 16-16.5 gallons in her.

If your getting 11 you must be beating her up. I drive mine hard, stop light to stop light and fast on the free way and still avg right at 16-17

I get about 220-250, depending on how I drive and what type of driving I do. I don't know how much more you can get out of an 18 gallon tank with a 6.2L supercharged engine.

I didn't notice any difference in mileage with this new engine. It does have more hp and gets better mpg then the other engine though.

Is there an actual low fuel light that comes on or just the low fuel warning in the DIC?
