Indeed. Torque is fun, isn't it?

Drove one last year at a test track and they definitely accelerate quickly. Top speed is limited by the fact that the transmission has only one gear. Handling was pretty good also - similar to my Vette but with more body roll - due to the high batteries. Brakes were good also below 100 - they're Brembos after all and supported by regenerative motor braking. But above 100, they didn't seem to slow it down as fast as I would have liked (nearly cooked a turn and was wondering how it did in the grass).

Roadster starts at ~$109K and the Sport hits $143K. It's supposed to go 240 miles on a charge but only if you drive it like a Prius and in the max efficiency mode. If you drive it like it's meant to be driven, I doubt it would make 60 miles on a charge. No luggage room either.

Nice pocket rocket for around town and not to far from your charger port.

watch out tuna... there's a white one running around okc and the owner has a chip on his shoulder... and AMAZING traction off the line.

Ha haa! Would it have to be recharged after a 1/4 mi. run so it could return to the pits?

the Model S that they're working on and whatever is next down the line are really interesting to me ... they say the Model S will do 0-60 in 5.6s ... and it will have three battery pack options 160, 230, or 300 mile range

No problem as I know what I'm looking at when I see one. I wonder why the chip?

When the Tesla guy handed me the car and said have at it, I nailed the throttle and headed for the first turn. They do move out quick and have a very good traction control programming that really lets it work without torching the tires.
