On Jan 11th 2011 i had the V serviced for the leaking oil around where the tranny meets the engine block or the repair for the rear cover area. The service was done under warranty and there was no charge. They had my car for 1.5 days. I was given a nice CTS loaner with approx 2,000 miles on the clock.

Description of service:

7.50 hours
1 2633579 Housing
1 12612350 Gasket
1 15203889 Gasket
1 16251488 Seal
1 24205103 Retainer
3 12346290 Coolant

5.00 hours
1 12378521 Sealant
1 89017524 Filter
6 12345885 Oil

Well today I had my V out of the garage and noticed oil spotting.
Note: I did not have oil on the garage floor prior to the repair.

I will have them wrench the nut as it almost looks like it is leaking there. Notice the spray on the tranny lines. I did not have that in earlier pic. I also did not have oil around the tranny plug.
They did the engine oil dye and determined it was in fact engine oil.

I would really like to know who has this issue and if they have mods.
I do not know what to do at this point. Perhaps the LSX swap in 2 weeks will
solve the problem. Last time dealership thought the HP contributed to this.
My PCV was clean and I pointed out that it would be full of oil.

I am wondering if this is non-repairable, due to the difference surfaces,

Please post if you have this issue and whether you have mods. It will help me when I discuss this with the dealership on Monday.

Thanks in advance.

I would ask the dealership what does mods have anything to do with this? Is more HP pushing more oil through the block? Is it pushing more through the seals...
Come on thats a cop out. Not sure what you plan on doing with the engine but I would have it fixed in case you go back to it in the future.

I have a 255 installed with less than 1k miles if the issues returns I will post up.

Thanks Man. I am wondering if this is an isolated reoccurrance or what.

Curtis, check out my other thread. I started it to see how many people are using the mobil1 5w-30 / stock oil in their V's that have leaked from the seal

I was running Amsoil 0w30 and had the same problem on my 2010 V Sedan. Thank god that car is gone! I am monitoring my 2011 V Coupe to see if the same problem will arise. So far, the car is bone dry at almost 500 miles. My 2010 V Sedan was leaking at the 1K mile mark. I am hoping they fixed the issue on the 2011s.

I would keep taking the car in until they replace the entire engine with a 2011 model year crate engine. It seems like the issue only plagues up to the 2010 model year Vs.

Mine leaks and I'm waiting on GM to decide what to do. Not sure what they want to do at this point.
Oh and the car is stock with the exception of Corsa's with 16.7 K on the clock.

Thanks tbss08,

I will mention other stock Vs are experiencing this, I really do not know what to ask for at this point. A new Engine seems drastic. However, no one wants a leaky engine.

Update. Went to dealer today and they cleaned the underside and put dye in again
and changed the oil plug, which may have lost the seal.

I will post up in a few days or 100 miles when checked again.

Thats what people want to know. What did they do differently on the 2011's thats keeping them from leaking at the seal and not require the tsb ?

I've seen oil moisture in this area one two other V's...I got a feeling it's more common than you think.

I had this problem and I fixed it with the parts listed. Have not had anymore leaks at all. It's been about 3500 miles.
