I used to be Vice President of finance in a company some number of years ago. We were a supplier to GM, among others. To meet some of their requirements, we needed to implement periodic sales meetings. The VP of Sales didn't really have it together, so I started it for him, and I called it the Sales Presentation Action Meeting ... SPAM. That's the honest truth.

In keeping with the thread spirit BOBBY CLEAR OUT YOUR MAILBOX

(I need fabric specifics for my new triple pod a-pillar I made, details to come)

Randy thats funny. Not necessarily the SPAM part but that a finance guy had to set up the sales meeting! :)

cancer, i've tried to find info on the headliner material as well. your best bet is to take the stock A-pillar into a fabric/remnant store and look around.. there is no specific material source i have asked around

SHOs are starting to dominate the LeMons series...

JimmyH
03-16-11, 07:39 PM
they are also starting to dominate the full-size land barge segment.

Darn things are big, aren't they? They blurr the distinction between cars and crossovers.

Thank you for the information. I actually went up to Jo Ann fabrics and got some black stuff that I was going to use. Problem is that it is not stretchy enough and anyway you wrap it would result in wrinkles. I see the few posted have been stitched presumably for this reason. I will probably end up taking the piece of fabric, a-pillar, and checkbook somewhere....

It was an example where nepotism = fail.

Ah gotcha.

i hope that SHO is just a show car (pardon the pun). those tires won't make it 100 miles in the real world.

so did he ever clear out his pms? i say we ban him :DSince we haven't heard from him, I'm assuming he hasn't been back. Imagine ... not visiting this wonderous place for a whole week! Shame, shame.

On a side note, I just sold a set of stock wheels with used tires mounted on them to a new guy who lives an hour or so north of here. Danged if I didn't break even. We met up half way at a parking lot right on Woodward Ave north of Detroit. After we did the deal and loaded the wheels/tires into his SUV, I offered to give him in a ride since he'd never been in a maggied V before. Got out onto the avenue (four lanes of boulevard southbound with no cars close by) and jumped on it in second gear at 2500 RPM! Tires broke loose immediately and the car gets out of shape just a bit. He says, "My car won't do that." Went south a few blocks, turned back to the north and did it again. It is so-o nice having those axles ... the car does not hop, not at all ... the tires just light up, and miss maggie just loves to whine. Oh, how I love spring.

Wes was working some long hours, IIRC, some time ago. Wonder if he's hitting the timeclock real hard this weekend. Maybe he's an old timer.

Woah...I missed this thread! Sorry Randy. Mailbox is all cleared out! I have a number of excuses, but the 'long hours' thing really doesn't apply. All I work are 12 hour shifts, so every work day is a long day. At least I'm working though; thankful for that!

How #*@(%ING annoying is this full PM crap! Especially when I type a nice lonnnngggggg PM out.... First I should send a "test" PM but then wait what if that puts them over their limit? haha

How #*@(%ING annoying is this full PM crap! Especially when I type a nice lonnnngggggg PM out.... Yup. Been there, done that. The alternative would be to type the PM out in MS Word or something and paste the sucker into the actual PM.

On second thought, that's a PITA, too.
