: Traded in the SRX

Ever since the accident the car has not been the same. The final straw was when the car was completely dead yesterday morning. As soon as roadside assistance got us taken care of we drove to the local Ford dealership and picked up a Raptor.

My wife loves the truck and couldn't be happier. She will miss her SRX, but with the recent transmission issues, doors not unlocking, and battery dying after 14000 miles...it was time to move on.

Here are some pics before we drove it off the lot.

Interesting switch going from the SRX to a truck. Can't blame you for bailing after all those problems. Good luck with the new truck. :)

Can't blame you. You were payingfora new car and driving a wrecked one. Sometimes no matter howhard they try you cannot everrepair a car to new standards.

Whisler........I would have done the same, trade it. What a nightmare this has been for you. I thought you might be inclined to trade it for a new SRX. :yup:

Well, she was going to keep it, but when the battery died out of nowhere she was fed up. It was between a used Range Rover Sport or the Raptor. Once she drove the Raptor she fell in love. Its a beast with tons of modern luxury. The Range Rover was nice but nothing new...its old technology. I've never been a huge ford guy, but they did it right with the Raptor. The Sync system is awesome! You can even use voice commands to set the driver and passengers air temp.

The Raptor kicks ass. It does not drive or ride like one would think for a truck with its off road capabilities. Very comfy and smooth with plenty of power.

In Brooklyn, we used to leave it under a bridge so the chop shops got the "lemons". LOL Best wishes!
