I was browsing the autotrader site today and I found an 07 sts v8 with 18' oem wheels with 6lugs. In the picture it appears to have V brake rotors and calipers but is not a V car. Has anyone seen this option on a non-V car. I certainly haven't looked at any new Cadillac's since they are out of my tax bracket so I didn't know that was an option... Nice car with less than 7k miles for 29k.

The "performance handling package" I think is what it's called. Was available on my 09 STS so I presume earlier years too. Came with summer tires, upgraded brakes and wheels (basically STS-v wheels, 6 lug). That's my guess as to what you're seeing.

I thought that option was only available on domestic models 2008 & after. I'm pretty sure only foreign market models had this 2005-2006.

It was available since day 1 roll off of the STS to my knowledge.
1SG has HEAVY DUTY brakes RPO JE5 the summer handle package had PERFORMANCE BRAKES and summer tires RPO J56.

The Performance Handling package, RPO code PCZ, became available in 2008 for V-8-equipped rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive models and V-6-equipped rear-drive models. This package includes 7 spoke 18 x 8.5-inch 6 lug aluminum alloys, chrome optional, fitted with new P255/45R18 Michelin Pilot Sport summer-only tires.... STS V uses 10 spoke 18 x 8.5-inch front and 19 x 9.5-inch 6 lug aluminum alloys. Fitted with P255/45R18 front, and P275/40R19 rear, Extended Mobility Pirelli tires.

Also includes Four-piston caliper Brembo brakes, RPO code J56, with front rotors measuring 355 mm x 32 mm and 365 mm x 28 mm rear rotors to provide enhanced stopping ability. All four rotors are vented.... Same as the STS V.

StabiliTrak with active front steering...active front steering available only on V-8 AWD.

Aluminum Strut Tower brace, V-8 and V-6 STS specific.

Stabilizer bars, hollow 33-mm diameter fronts, hollow 24-mm diameter rears on AWD and hollow 19-mm diameter rears on RWD. The hollow 36-mm diameter fronts are STS V specific but will mount on the V-8 STS.

And like I stated above, those are the 7 spoke 18" wheels that were also used on the CTS V....Anything else you want to be schooled on?

The build sheet for this car shows:

Model: 6DC29-2007 STS V8 RWD/AWD 4 DR

LH2 - 4.6L NORTHSTAR V8 VVT ENGINE
P56 - PERFORMANCE BREMBO BRAKES
PCZ - PERFORMANCE HANDLING PACKAGE: *18" ALUMINUM CHROME WHEELS *P255/45R18 SUMMER ONLY TIRES (REPLACES STD/OPT WHEELS AND TIRES) *PERFORMANCE BREMBO BRAKES (TIRE SEALANT & INFLATOR KIT IN PLACE OF SPARE TIRE)

I wonder if this is similar to Ford. They started installing the 6.0L diesel disaster toward the later part of the 2003 model year. It may not have been available for all of 2007, perhaps only later builds?

How do you find out this 1SG stuff? My car is pretty close to fully loaded not AWD, where can you find the list of options for that year?
