View Full Version : Strut bar????

I was wondering if anyone has see or bought a upper strut bar or brace for the the catera? There's really not anywhere to mount it so I'm thinking of just drilling some holes and finding one that is spaced correctly. If anyone has done it, some pics would be nice.

I bookmarked these for the future of my Catera but money's tight. They're for the Omega B but will fit the Catera too. I suggest calling before ordering. Some businesses won't ship to the US. If they do the shipping probably costs more.

Thanks, yeah I think those might be a little too expensive for me right now as well, especially if its going to be from over seas. I know there is a couple of cool things for the Omega B on ebay.co.uk but most don't ship to the US. So thats why I was wondering if anyone has found some in the US that fit. Doesn't necessarily have to be for the Catera, as long as if fits with little to no ghetto rigging lol. I think I remember seeing some on the Catera V from you library.

Remember, the Catera V was fabricated by Lingenfelter so they either got it from Opel or made it themselves. If you have welding skills and access to the equipment I don't think it would be difficult to create a bar.

I have one. Get the one from the 3rd gen Mitsubishi Eclipse. I think around 2000-2004. Spacing is identical. Just have to bent it a little here and there and cut room for strut mounts. Then have to cut the exta mounting points off towards the middle bends. Also have to drill mounting holes and thin the mounting bolt heads so as not to rub against the struts.
It WILL be worth your time :)

P.S. also consider the GTO front strutbar in the back. With minor cutting and just a LITTLE bit of bending...
