: Probably a dumb question. Oil changes, regular maintenance and warranty.

Since it was first bought, the V I have now has had all of its maintenance and servicing done at the initial purchase dealership. According to the GMVIS on my car I have bumper to bumper until August of this year, and powertrain coverage until August of next year. Do things like oil changes and the like need to be done at a dealer so that they're on record somehow in order to maintain warranty coverage? I'm sure I could figure that out myself by reading through the warranty paperwork, but I figured I'd get a quicker response here.

Thanks in advance!
