Hello some of you may remember my screen name because I pop in here when I am looking at another Allante. Well I decided I want a 93 only for reason that others have mentioned but what was cool was that my buddy called me because he picked up an Allante from the auction. 91 Black on black and wrecked pretty bad in the drivers door. I am sure it is someone that has been here or associated with other Allante owners in Houston. Anyway I drove the car down the street and boy was I impressed with the ride quality. The car even came with a hard top but my buddy has decided to keep the car as a parts car and now locate another Allante to collect. What he did not realize is he has ignited my Allante lust again and now I am back on the prowl!

Welcome back to the fray, brother.

The '93 Northstar motor has tons more power than the 4.5. I've also heard (but cannot verify firsthand) that '93 has slightly less structural rigidity.

The Allante was arguably the most roadable Cadillac until the XLR came out. Glad to hear you liked the small ride!

I've had my '93 for 6 years and it it still one of the most stylish and wonderful automobiles I've ever owned. The body lines are timeless, and I still get a ton of compliments every time I drive it. You are making an absolutely wonderful buying decision!
