Normally not likely to happen. One guy on here experimented with different tire sizes while at a tire shop, and the SRX is built for only so big of a tire. Any bigger and you scrape the strut and a whole lot wider you scrape the wheel well.

Now, since the tire size you listed is essentially the same height as stock, its then a matter of the extra 20 mils being too wide that it does scrape? I'm guessing you would have to turn your wheels lock to lock and measure to see if you have the extra 10 mils on the inside (assuming using the stock 2010 rim, the 20 mils should be spread half between the inside and outside of the tire.).

I would go to discount tires website and plug in your vehicle. They show the optional sizes which work for a specific vehicle.

Under plus zero, they show 255/50/20, 255/55/20 and 265/50/20

Now, whether you would have issues is another story.

good advice Wag. I use the tire size calculator a Lot! It's great. Here it is: Save it to your favorites for easy ref....

I can tell you there is VERY little extra width/height available. I've been under the wells with a flashlight and space to the front strut is about 3/4 inch, when parked. Good luck!
