I have recently aquired a 1994 Cadillac seville sts 4.6 northstar. After leaving work one day it began to slip. After I reached about 20 mph or so it began to run better but after that day, hasn't moved. I have been told it is a censor and i've been told its terminal...is there an easy way to find out??

Do you mean the transmission was slipping? Why were you told it might be a bad sensor? (Or that the car was doomed?) Most sensors are minor repars. Are you getting opinions or facts? Have you had it towed to a dealer and had someone who has worked on an STS look at it?
ya the transmission...my father took a look at it and seems to think it is more than likely a sensor.. but because it only drives when it wants we havnt been able to get it to a shop yet..there just seem to be some things that dont add up and i was wanting to know if there is a way to tell between a sensor or terminal problem..
