Can someone please confirm the differences I've seen regarding the LED "pipe" tail lamps on 2010+ SRX vehicles? I've seen some models that illuminate brightly when brakes are applied; yet others (like mine) have only the lower portion illuminated, by what appears to be a conventional bulb. Is the difference related to models that have have HIDs up front? Thanks in advance.

The LED are your stop lights. The light pipes are your tail lights. The bulb light are your signal lights.

Correct, and there is no difference between any models on the taillights.

tail lights or the front lights. I noticed on the base headlights its just like a small three bulb running light and on the more premium model its the light bar on the side of the headlight

That is why it is called premium

I didn't realize that the front headlights on the premium/performance models have a light pipe rather than the LEDs.
That with the fog lights I wish I had. Most of the other options I didn't need.
