I have a 2000 STS with 54,000 miles and I am experiencing noise from the front springs when I go over speed bumps and severe dips on the highway.
Is there any way to lubricate the Mcphearson struts?
Is there any other solution short of replacing the struts?
Thanking you in advance.

car is not bottoming out? probably not. describe noise. clunk or rattle? could be strut mounts. on top of struts. or sway bar links or sway bar bushings. you cannot lube struts to make them quiet. might be any number of suspension parts. ball joints, tierods, strut rod bushings. even loose or mushy rack bushings. do tires have even wear? no funny edge wear? could even be bad wheel bearings.

My money is on the sway bar bushings or connector links.

Thanks for your reply.
Sounds like the spring is rubbing or moving in the spring seat. The noise is most dectable when going over a speed bump slowly. The sound is like a skrunch wnen the wheels are driven up and again when going back down.
