I have a 2007 DTS with the navigation radio. I would like to interchange it with a standard 6 CD Cadillac 2007 or later DTS radio. Is this just a remove and replace transplant or is there more involved? I would probably buy a new/remanufactured non-nav radio from my Cadillac dealer. I have an SE model.

Going backwards should be easier than upgrading to the Nav radio. I'm sure you will need to pop by the dealer to reprogram the radio, XM and Onstar so they all communicate together.

If you upgrade to a NAV radio...you will need the antenna that goes under the right side of the dash and make sure the green VSS wire is hooked up.
You'll have to get the dealership to program the radio you put in. Not a plug and play like it should be.
