: Springs on LS7 clutch disk

Just got my LS7 clutch with aluminum flywheel :bouncy: Pressure plate is friggin heavy!

Anyway, my question is about the springs on the friction disc. It has four sets of springs (spring within spring). Two of the inner springs are loose and jiggle around. I doubt this is anything to worry about, but would feel real stupid if I get a rattle after install.
Thanks

Tony

OH: If anyone needs and info/measurements/pics let me know. It probably wont go in for a few weeks at the earliest.

Not sure just how comparable it is, but I just checked my LS9 in the basement. It, too, has fours sets of concentric spring pairs, but the inner spring seems to have a compressive load on it thus does not move around and rattle.

Hopefully, someone else will chime in and relieve your anxiety with your LS7.

Tony - That is normal for a single disc.

Randy - I think the springs that are tight on yours are for the friction disc that is encapsulated inside the pressure plate assembly.
