Can anyone suggest a built-in radar detector. I have one that works well that mounts with suction cups to the windshield but would prefer something that looked better.

Have you considered a Blendmount with Invisicord? No suction cups, hardwired, looks better, and you don't have to pay the premium of a built-in detector. I was turned on to the setup by this forum and it works great for me.

when I ever get my v back I plan on hardwiring my V1. Like anon said you pay a prem for those.... Inviscord works well, but with the v1 and a mount from MW Trophy for my z06 I mount the v1 on the passenger side sunshield screws, run the cord hidden, hard wire in and then use a slim mount remote mount from eBay that goes right on the dash. Will show when I get it done. Works sharp.

C3 designs in Tampa will conceal the display for the V1 into the rear vuew mirror with etched dsplay. Talk to Chris Chapas-

Invisicord and Blendmount combo is the way to go IMO. Have had the combo in my sedan and now my coupe. Looks and works great, and I can switch around my V1 and various Escorts with ease.

I used the invisicord on my 2005 corvette, does anyone have instructions for a 2007 STS? Invisicord website doesn't get too much into install.

Radar detectors may be a waste of money if the mailman is the one handing you a ticket. This ALPR technology has been around for several years.http://www.elsag.com/alpr_applications.htm

Domsz06,

Try looking at K40's new radar detector the RL360.

Did you have a price range you wanted to stay within? We have some Escort SRX (http://www.bestradardetectors.net/Escort-SRX-Radar-Detector.html) units left and for $499 for a custom installed radar detector with an included laser jammer its a good value in a remote system.

These units have nothing to do with radar or laser. These are for plate capturing used in scanning license plates for parking violations, registration issues, theft, etc. They capture the plate numbers of vehicles as the patrol car drives and scans the plates to check and see if anything comes up.
