Both cars have clean Carfax reports and appear to be in excellent condition. Mileage is 74K on the 2006 and 45K on the 07. The 06 is loaded except navigation. The 07 has the heated/cooled seats but no other options.

Thanks for your input. I hope to be a DTS owner this week or next!

I have a 2006 that I bought NEW, that now has almost 100,000 miles on it.
I had a few little electrical issues when I first bought it new.
They were all fixed under warranty, of course.

I have had -0- power train issues and it uses -0- oil.
I like it well enough that I will be buying another new one later this year. :) :)

Get the 07 or an 08
My out of pocket repairs on my 06 LUX II (under 45,000miles) have just gone over $2,200 for heated/cooled seat failures.
All other electrical problems:
Tire pressure monitoring...4 electrical valve stems changed
" " " receiver unit and key fobs changed 3x (key fob receiver unit unit does tires too)
Interior lights saying on
Gear shift lever sticking
3 HID bulbs replaced
Power windows failing
Lumbar support failing to move
all done on warranty

I have not fixed the trunk mounted brake light yet, (LEDs fail due to water getting through cracking cheap plastic, and the front and rear parking sensors sometimes work or not.
08 and 09 supposed to be much better
Good luck

The 2007 DTS was rated as "best buy" for fewest service issues by J.D.Powers.
