I have a 96 seville sts. I was just wondering what y'all thought about putting anitseize on spark plug threads during replacement. First of all is it really a big deal? I know it is an aluminum engine and it would be a big problem if one seized up and it broke. I replaced the plugs a month ago or so and didn't really want to take them all out again and put anitseize on the treads, but preventing a broken plug is certainly in everyone's best intrest.

Anti-sieze on plugs is not recommended. I believe it is conductive and too much can cause carbon tracking (aching down the side of the plug). It also lubes the threads which will lead to over torqueing and stripped threads.

Yeah. i know that there wasn't any on previously as a breaker bar was required to get them out. I figure the threads on the engine can handle it.... just wont force it that hard..... thanks
