Just got my 07 cts-v and it did not have a nav disk. Where is the cheapest place to get the most updated one? I don't care if it is a copy :P

Ok. Where can you get a relatively inexpensive one. Other than the $199 one from GMPartsDirect

I have a question.

I just read the nav disk thread that was locked by rolex (http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-escalade-ext-esv-forum-2007/212259-anyone-have-2011-nav-disc-20945286-a-2.html) for talk about buying/selling/receiving a new 2011 disk.

if I'm providing a copy of my 07 disk, and it's going to someone who was supposed to have an original anyway, am I doing anything wrong?

I've made a copy already, and i'm using it in my V. the original is put away for safe keeping.

I'd love to help others who weren't lucky enough to get their V with the disk present.

a pic of my original, if somehow it helps as proof that I have one

My navigation doesn't even work. I have the disc (gray one) that came with the car (I assume). Well, the service records show the radio has been replaced a few times, and I assume they came with the updated firmware and now the disc doesn't work....can anyone clarify this? I figured I'd ask here instead of making another Nav thread.

You are distributing copyrighted material, which the site owner frowns upon.

If you ask me, Cad should of provided owners with free maps for life, given what they had to endure, but it isn't my call.

ah, got it. yah if it's even frowned upon, I won't.

I don't know if I agree with free updated disks for life, though.
in terms of programming, particularly firmware updates, I know I
wouldn't want to be on a project involving a MAP of NORTH AMERICA
and proprietary hardware like a nav unit for a single model such as a
CTS or ONLY V's. The people who do that for a living should be paid.

still a really suckie situation for owners who are without disks
through no fault of their own.

I would edit my email info out if I could.
