Sorry, no further details on the video. I just thought it was a cool vid with that much accumulation in such a short period of time.

Yeah, that's crazy. Hope the cabinets were stocked and the car was in the garage.

It looks like a certain September morning I remember back on Hokkaido in the late sixties! Only it wasn't time lapse but took place in about an hour and a half.

Christmas afternoon was also pretty impressive here in Richmond!

Looks like about 20 hours and 3 feet, which = almost 1.8 inches/hour.

TITLE: 32 inch snow, Belmar, NJ

Friend of mine, who was near there (family) and elected to bail out and head back for MD on Christmas night, saw the video on TeeVee news last night.

I miss my snow. Even shoveling it.

Thompson Pass, Alaska had 62 inches of snow in one 24hr. period and 974.5 inches of snow in one winter.

The snow plows they use are mind blowing. They have a GPS and road sensor guided system that drives a headsup display that requires no actual forward vision whatsoever. You can cover the windshield with cardboard and it makes no difference.

Was visiting family for Christmas and got caught in the 'Blizzard of 2010'; fifteen or so inches and windy for two plus days (gusts over 50mph I'm sure). Delayed our departure back south for two days. This was one epic storm. By adding the gazillion people affected, this storm was not to be denied. While not as bad as some (say Alaskan or similar) when you add millions of people, trying to get somewhere else, you see why I call this storm epic.
