Nah, you don't have to do all that. The grille pops out and you can access the four screws from there. Get underneath the sub and disconnect it, then it just pulls right out. I didn't have to remove the trim panel or anything, just the grille.

^You ever get the grille to pop off? I tried in multiple spots around the grille but no luck. I lifted so hard around the grille that the rear shelf itself was raising up an 1".

I had to take all the panels out. Broke one and had to reglue it and epoxy it. it took me about an hour. But now my 10" in the trunk sounds waaaaaaaaaay better now that it has that open hole where the old sub used to be

I'd say removing the rear deck cover is easier than getting that subwoofer grille off. You also risk breaking fewer things.

:hijack: What subs are you guys suing to replace the stock one? Any one just replacing the sub and not upgrading the amp?

if you want something a little better than stock. Go with a nice 10". Just make sure you take out the old sub, because that will increase your bass into the cabin
