: Can I leave my ipod plugged in while the car is off?

I know, it seems like a silly question, but I was just wondering if the ipod will slowly sap away the battery over time. I have an ipod touch, and it automatically turns off after several minutes; but when I plug it into a regular wall socket (even while off), it will charge up fully. The basic question is: has anyone had problems with leaving their ipod plugged into the car? Sorry for the silly question, I googled it and searched the forum and couldn't find an answer.

AFAIK, the only active (live) outlet is in the rear compartment, the other three go in-active in the ignition OFF setting, so it shouldn't drain your battery, nor will it charge anything left plugged in (this I found out both from the manual as well as experience). Hope this helps!

Thank you very much, guess I should have looked in the owners manual first rather than jump right onto google!

Yep, i have had my ipod plugged in since day one, and haven't had a problem with it or the SRX's battery draining!
