: Navigation Calibration?

Hey everybody, I recently moved to Hawaii and was told by a friend that I would need a new Nav disc once I got here, so, I wasnt surprised to see that Nav told me I was in California once my car arrived. Anyway, got a new disc and same problem. Going round and round with the dealership, now they want to pull the tint from the top of my front windshield (non metallic). The Nav system tracks me driving and I bounced the GPS coords off the ones my phone gave me and they match. So the car knows where it is its just not showing it. Any ideas?

GPS is ok.

Map does not cover Hawaii.

Who needs a nav when there's a beach in every direction?

Isn't the GPS antenna on the roof on a 2007? It's part of the XM antenna. Windshield tint shouldn't affect it as far as I know.

Navteq's site confirms what heavymetals says. It's continental US/Canada only.

I take that back. The Navteq site says "New and expanded coverage in over 50 cities, counties and metropolitan areas across the continental United States and Canada." and the map pictures shows the continental US/Canada. But the on the FAQ it says "4. Can my navigation system provide coverage for Alaska or Hawaii?
Yes. Coverage for both Alaska and Hawaii is provided by the system."

I suggest you re read and know the difference between "CAN" and "DOES".

Try entering HAWAII on the state portion of the nav.

Guess what?

The nav system may support Hawaii, but the map does not.
