I have completed the installation of the timeserts on my 97 SLS (head gasket repair). The engine had 77,000 miles and overheated every time I drove on the freeway (lately in town).

My question to the forum being, which member has the most miles on their engine after timeserting? I understand by reading posts that some members completed the timeserts repair several years ago. Anyone have 100,000 miles on the timeserts?

I am needing to timesert my engine as well. Do you want to sell your kit?

Bill I don't plan to sell the kit right now. Looks to be thousands of these Northstars needing this fix and more and more every day! My friend has a 96 SLS that looks like it will need to be timeserted so I will at least wait for him to use it before I sell.

I was on your web site reading and looking at the pictures of your Northstar powered MR2. Very interesting. Last time I did something like that was a LT1 powered Vega in 1974. It was very fast but didn't stop well. 12 second drag racer and 25 mpg on the street. A lot of fun. I been thinking about the Northstar swap in my 1952 Chevy hardtop.
