whaddya think'a my SPECTRE $24 autozone air filter :-D
I was bored today, and what's the harm--
...complete with zipties to keep it off the pulleys
come Christmas, I'll give it a proper K&N system--but for now, it'll do. Is it all in my mind, or is there an improvement in throttle response and power?
also, what is the steering reservoir cap supposed to look like?
You have just created a "hot air intake". The restriction is the stock squeeze tube which is what you should replace.
Your reservoir cap is pretty funny I would call Luke @ Lindsay Cadillac or rippypartsmaster (S/N) on here for a replacement ASAP.
Here is a pic that shows what your reservoir cap should look like and also the routing of my intake to the fender-well to alleviate the heat soak from the engine bay.
I have a thread on here somewhere if you wanna look it up for more info.
Cool! I'll find your thread after I get home. Hah hot air intake. The filter is almost disrespectful, and it's a good thing it's cold these days. Motivated by pure boredom.
Thanks for the pic--i found a pic on the google.
The cap was the only thing that seemed out of place--before i signed papers for the V, I put it on a lift and everything looks great. Still not sure who did what to cause the cap mixup.
66k miles, 24.5k anddd... The price was driven by my financing who would only go up to black book value. Not sure what book that is, but it got me better-than-asking price, and i'm horrible at negotiating.
It makes a cool sucking sound under heavy acceleration
