I just purchased a 2007 DTS Base Trim and it does not have a garage door opener (Homelink?).
I can buy another used OH console with the feature, reasonably priced, but I need to know a couple issues:
1) Does 2007 Cadillac DTS Base trim have wiring installed for garage door opener?
2) How do I remove the OH console?
Can anyone help me?

Did anyone ever figure this out? I have a 2009 DTS and have the same issue. I can buy a new overhead console with the homelink transmitter installed and the pigtail connector. I need to know if this is all I need and how to remove/install the overhead console.

Chances are if you pull the overhead console there should be a wiring harness for the Homelink.\
Not sure about how you take it apart though.

My 1994 Concours and 2003 DeVille had a spring loaded door in the overhead console that enabled the installation of a garage door remote with three buttons, and programmable just like the unit on my '06 DTS. I would call the dealer. Good luck!

The wiring is already there...
Just replace the console with the one that has HomeLink and then program it according to the owners manual.
