Hello,
A little over a month ago, we debuted a CTS-V Competition build at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Here is an official release on the vehicle with a short video. More to come on this car!! Please let us know if there are any questions.
Hello,
No because we were able to position the mounts on the main support for the trunk so that the load is transferred on the vertical plane of the trunk.

Re: Cadillac CTS-V Competition Build by D3 Cadillac
I see a HotLap timer - lap times? It certainly looks like a monster!
It was running 1:55.xx. We have a few small bugs to work out and the wrong spring rates were in the car for the shake down run. The car will run low 1:40's once we get it dialed in.
We started with the Spectre flare and then modified it to fit around the wheels we were running. You would be better off going with the Spectre flares if you are looking to save a little money in fabrication...
I like the KW V3 Setup! Which sways? Looks like DSS axles as well?
Also, I'm not too far from you. I looked at your website and didn't see but.....do you do tunes and corner balancing? I am about to be in need of both.
Nice project. Would love to see a shot of those Sparcos. No one has every saw a pic of any other seats in a V other than stockers. It's a tremendous weight savings. No one makes a frame rail kit.
Hello,
We have been trying to get our new website complete. Unfortunately we aren't done with the V1 section of the site just yet. Please keep in mind however our approach on the V1 section will be very race oriented as the regular bolt on market is already pretty saturated....
I would have lost a bet on those racing seats. We can definitely look at doing the seat rails w/Sparcos as a direct bolt in. I know we are looking rolling the Aluminum radiator into full production.
Just wondering why would a company post this if they werent ready to sell any of the parts? Doesn't make sense. I love what they did, and I am interested, but why the teaser thread? I mean they could have probably sold a bunch of stuff just from impulse buying. It is Christmas, I know I would have.
I dont mean to discourage you guys at D3, I applaud you attention to the V1 community, we need you guys.
Hello,
We understand your comments. This post wasn't to serve as a "release" of some sort, but more us sharing one of the many unique builds we recently did. We thought it would have been cool to share this with everyone since the owner of this car is not a member on the forums. We were not trying to solicit anything when posting this. If we did have intent on solicitation, then we would have been sure to get the D3 website on the same accord. Hope it didnt come across the wrong way, sorry if it did. The "release" was of the 3 cars we debuted at SEMA last month. This was just a spin off to give more detail on the build.
Way back when we got involved in the Cadillac Tuning community we develop a line of products that were never seen before in the STS-V & XLR-V market with the D3 level of quality. We wanted to provide products for the V1 CTS-V but felt that the market was already saturated with the entry level products and didn't see how D3 could help the Cadillac community by adding more parts to a saturated market. So we sat back and watched the market over the years. We feel that we can now bring forth products that are not so heavily saturated through a competition segment rather than everyday street cars.
Hope that helps. I know some of the things we do are a little different, but in the big picture we think our approach is unique and rewarding for the community. Thanks for the support! In a tough economy positive encouragement goes a long way in seeing that our hard work is appreciated.
We would be very interested in hearing what some of the items people are in need of. Please consider that we are not looking for production, rather more low volume custom items that we can provide.
V1 section of the site is on the way.... Help us fill the slots!!
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
