I also have to replace the left license plate bulb. The trunk lid interior liner will have to be removed. A pain, but once removed you will have access to replace the bulb without removing anything else. There is a tool you can buy to pop out the plastic fasteners, which isn't very expensive.

Tedious but easy, even without the tool. I changed my bulbs out in about 10 mins to the L.E.D ones.

yup those are it...got mine on Ebay and they look and work perfect. Also got L.E.Ds for inside the car and got the bulbs for the parking light....looks very nice. Just makes the car look more classy to me.

I bought those and found that the hole for the bulb doesnt shine straight down unto the license plate, if you notice the bulb in this ebay ad is directional, look for the ones that have the led's that wrap around the top or the sides. I found the level of the brightness of the directional bulb wasnt that bright. I havent tried the wrap around bulbs yet but put in the stock bulbs until I reorder the other kind. Does anyone know if a blue license plate bulb is against the law?

Why do you think it's faulty?

i switched the bulb that i thought was dead to the left module and plugged it back into the socket and it worked, and also switched the LED lights. the left module worked on both left and right sockets but the right didnt work. the part number is 25754003 but on gmpartsdirect.com...the description is "LAMP"??

thats what i need

I would put a multimeter on it just to make sure you're not getting power at the socket
