Make a list of what you need for it, post it here, and you will start to find help ;)

Pics, please! We like LeCabs here, too.

Welcome to the forums! There are a lot of friendly people here and it's exactly like Jay says, post a list and we'll see what we can dig up.

Also, since we're talking about a LeCab:

http://usapartssupply.com (used a bunch of times - they don't have everything though)

http://cadillacheaven.com (my local, cadillac-only boneyard - highly recommend)

and your local vinyl repair pros for the rest

last, but not least, don't forget your friendly dealership parts guy, who can still help with some stuff too
don't hesitate to ask

oh, and :welcome:

Looks like you need a pair of the rear fillers. They are usually on ebay, but watch some of the cheap aftermarket ones. A lot of times they won't line up properly. Imo, the best way is to search the local junk yards and find a pair that are still pliable. They are getting hard to come by these days.. Nice car though, how did you come across one of those?

Nice..........well to start....some of the important stuff i need ......the door window felts....inside and out, the felts where the quarter windows are...they have to be custom by the looks...want to pick up new weather seals if possible...just needs some minor work and a good cleaning !!!!!

Those are called window sweeps. Lots of people here recommend www.layitlow.com for those. It's a lowrider forum, yes, but someone there makes custom window sweeps for coupes and convertibles. I'd dig the thread up but I don't have an account there. Hopefully someone else can get that for you.

That's a good looking car! What are those wheels? I like those.

EDIT: Nice! Another Floridian. :)

I'd agree, if you could find a real set, OEM wire wheels would look GREAT on that with some vogues.

The way I see it, more of these things are 90'd and lowlows than are left stock. You want to look awesome in a LeCab, roll it stock. Why mod it just to look like everyone else?

Agreed, its a rare car, just restore it to stock and cruise. You never see a clean, STOCK, 77-84 Coupe Deville anymore. All the clean ones are either lowriders or god forbid DONKED with 28" rims.

Stingroo
11-30-10, 02:07 AM
Oh god. :ack: Donks are hideous. I like the lowrider guys, they put a certain pride and craftsmanship into their ride that just can't be "bought", but the majority of the donk dudes are just trying to be flashy and think they're all hot shit. :nono:

Kakalak on layitlow sells universal window sweeps, inside and out. He used them on the restoration of his DeVille and from what I can see in the pictures he posted they look fine. They are pretty cheap too at somewhere around $60 per set.

If I had this car, it would probably be modded.

I plan on keeping it all original...no 90 nothing....black on black......but for now i will probably roll some Z's and Vogues.....until i find something that catches the eye.......................
