It is affecting my aftermarket alarm. Is there a fuse or a way to disable RAP which keeps the vehicle running for 10 minutes before you open the door while the key is out of the ignition. Thanks for any help - wiring this alarm with GM stuff is no fun :hmm:

It would be easier to find a compatible alarm or wire the alarm you have differently considering millions of GM cars have retained power . It sounds more like an installation problem .

Installation problem. Go to a well know alarm installer.

+2 There are several Rap events in an Escalade...some controlled by the BCM and some controlled by individual components independently (radio/amp, etc). They cooexist and interact. IMHO, Better to get an alarm designed for the system and bite the bullet for the cost of a professional installation.

Just open the door when you remove the key,

OK enough of me being a smart a$$

Get your alarm checked though it sounds like its not wired correctly.
