The computer is telling me code C1217 under ABS, which looks like means pump motor shorted to ground??

What would cause the pump motor to be shorted to ground?

First, second, and third action I would take is clear the code and see if it returns!!!

Did that 3 times, it returns immediately.

Disconnect the wires going to the ABS as close as you can to the module and test again. It might be a pinched or insulation damaged wire.

The car is currently at the dealership so I can't look under the hood for the module, is it very easy to find?

That would be your ABS modulation valve. Full list price is $1,062.25 and labor will be $???.

I would ask for the valve they removed if you are at all handy at electrical repairs.
