Does anyone have the breakdown of where the 15000 plus xlrs were shipped, such as how many were shipped out of the usa? Of the number shipped to the usa, how many are still on the road and how many have been totaled? I would be interested to know how many to each state , if the information is available. Thanks, bob

I've seen four or five roaming the streets in the real world.

One was in Spokane WA of all places, in the winter.

There are several databases on the production of these cars. Some show total production by option/color; some show import vs export; but nothing about where they are now nor their attrition.

Now if you're interested in seeing the largest gathering of XLR's this year - be at Bolling Green, KY on July 14-16 for the Corvette Homecoming (http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-xlr-forum-2004-through-2010/213739-xlr-owners-lets-respond-invitation.html). There are over 30 to date that I know of that will be there and we're shooting for over 100. For those of you on the East Coast there will be a caravan of over a dozen at the Biltmore Estate (NC) on the 9-10th of April and on to Charleston, SC where we should pick up five or six more for the rest of the week.

VETS AND XLR'S are made in Bowling Green. That's why they call it homecoming! One of the Vet Owners makes all the arrangements and plans. Nice of you to let him "tag along".

Sorry, that was an inside joke between Bruce and I. :canttalk:

I volunteered to be the "pulltoy" at one of the events.

Besides mine the only one I've seen was coming out of the caddy service shop in Pasco WA. or a new one several years ago, same place! They do seem to hide but I guess if you are going to spend $80k on a car it will have a place to live away from the elements.

I saw my first one on the street about a year ago. A couple of weeks ago I was cruising pacific coast highway in my black one and pulled up to a light at beach blvd. Beside a gold one, I turned the corner and there was a silver one.

They might all be here in South Florida. I see them often around Boca Raton.

PS: I drive a CTS-V but would love to add an XLR to the collection.

"PS: I drive a CTS-V but would love to add an XLR to the collection."

Be careful what you wish for Jay! Once I bought my XLR, my CTS-V hardly get driven!! (It's an '04 with 20k mi.) With both sporting platinum paint, they look great side by side in the garage. Now that XLR prices have dropped to the point where one in good shape is reasonable, why wait? I used to live in a little town of 7000, and drove up to a car wash where a guy was cleaning his XLR; it turned out he had an (idle) CTS-V in his garage as well! The CTS-V is fun to drive, but rarely gets a conversation started at the pump like the XLR frequently does. Rarity is a good thing sometimes. And on a sunny day or warm night with the top down. . . . you can't beat it!

None whatsoever, unless you want to start one. I've seen plenty of XLRs in Sac and one owner lives nearby here in El Dorado Hills.

After I bought mine. Now I see them a lot. I live in Florida and so far I have seen around 4. I have also heard of 3 within 10 min of my house. 1 is in my area (1/4 mile away) and a xlr-v. The others I was told are 5 miles away. I have even had some cards made up with a pic of my xlr and the website xlr-net.com

Several running around San Antonio. Once in a while Cavender Cadillac has one on their used car lot.

I own a 2005 XLR that is crimson pearl. True you do not see a lot of them; but one day I was on Sunrise Hwy heading towards the hamptons and as I looked to the left there was a 2009 (same color) next to me. Image that. We both gave each other thumbs up. It is rare to even see one on the road and when you do they are black or silver. To see two next to each other on the highway and they are the same color is very uncommon.

I aquired a Crimson Pearl 04 in December of 12. I am in central Ohio. Where did you see yours? While looking for my XLR I saw a silver one in a dealers show room. Last summer I saw my first one (black) on the road near home.

D3 is usually the first to get his hands on the flyer. Team Cadillac Racing usually calls me as soon as the arrangements are firm. So, for example, last year's race was 3-5 August and I had the flyer posted 29 June. Many people like to get their in-field parking and general admission ticket around now, but the value of the Cadillac Corral package is well worth the wait. Team Cadillac usually reserves 10 of their Corral invitations for me to distribute early. Once you get invitation, you have to go on their Cadillac Racing website register and pay for the package, they then mail it to your home the week or two before the race. Here is the Cadillac Forums thread from last year: http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/2009-2013-cadillac-cts-v-general/263710-mid-ohio-grand-prix-cadillac-corral.html

When I get this year's flyer, I'll be sure to post a copy in the XLR and XLR-V forums. The flyers say "V" only but ALL XLRs are welcome! And that comes from the head of Cadillac Racing as well as the head of Cadillac Marketing (I think I got under their skin when they tried to tell one of the MMs he couldn't get in cause his XLR wasn't a V - I went OFF! )

Oh by the way, you probably want to make your decision on going soon. I've had my hotel reservation since 3 February. The corral package may take a while to get published, but the hotels fill up quick! The Midwest Marauder XLR group is staying at the Hampton Inn Columbus/Delaware I-71 North (740-363-4700).

Yeah, we have a great time (even if it rains). Camp Tofollo (the XLR Corral) gets a lot of attention in the infield.

We've been there so long we get a prime location and Team Cadillac goes out of their way to visit with us when they can. If you look close at the pictures below you'll notice the car on the end is not an XLR. Its a CTS-V owned by World Challenge 2012 GT Champion driver Johnny OConnell.

The Cadillac Corral had a great location and the catering was outstanding. When they said we'd have steak for lunch, I figured a processed steak sandwich. Boy was I surprised when they brought these out!

Oh yeah the racing was good, too. It was the first time Team Cadillac had three cars in the GT competition with the addition of driver Jordan Taylor.

I am new to this subject, but I wrote a book on the '05-'06 Ford Gt and I never see those either, though they made 4038 of them. Methinks that with cars of this price range, the owners have up to 18-20 cars so some they rarely get around to driving and aren't necessarily car club people so don't go to gatherings. It is the next owners, after those who bought it new, that will go to car events and fix up their cars and restore them. So look for them to have "classic" status in about 20 years.

Welcome to the site and congratulations on owning one of the most stunning Cadillacs ever made.

Chicago is right in the midst of Midwest Marauder territory. See my other post here (http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-xlr-forum/332962-xlr-specific-events-24-aug-carmel.html). And if you can't make one of those events, there's always next year (we do them every year). We'll also have a fall drive through southern Indiana in October and next year we're planning a week-long roadtrip to Montana the first week of June.

In real actual life, I have seen 4 XLRs, all of them double black. One at the San Jose Auto show Jan/2007 when I first fell in love with them (you gotta understand, I am from a hardcore Mustang/Ford owning family, this is forbidden love, Romeo and Juliet type stuff, they can't know!). The second one was in my work parking lot 2 years ago, (WTF! Who owns that, the "C E freaking O"?!?) The third time was on my commute home 18 months ago, tried to catch up, wasn't happening (maybe the same one from work). The last one was in mid-July in Stockton CA (and this is how I know there is a God) where I bought it (where yes I nearly faced family ex-communication, but the car is so cool they understood even if begrudgingly so. Some even cursed Ford for not building something equally as cool, what the t-Bird should have been. Another family member has bought a CTS-V in full defiance of his father. What have Done?). I have no way of knowing that all of these XLR's I have seen aren't really the same car. The reality of my life is that there is only 1 XLR in the whole of the universe and I own it. Anyway happy to be here. Looking forward to seeing my next XLR. Perhaps someday meeting some of you fine folks. In the meantime, I am....

One week till Carmel Artomobilia (http://www.carmelartomobilia.com/)!

We will have a full dozen XLRs in the XLR corral for this event. There's still time for more to sign-up (https://carmelartomobilia.eventbrite.com/)!

A good time will be had by all. Just get to the marshaling yard early and plan to stay all day. The XLRs will have a meet and greet Friday night at:

Hampton Inn Indianapolis/Carmel
12197 N Meridian St Carmel, IN 46032
(317) 843-1100

It is the usual jump off point for the Midwest Marauder XLR Club. We usually get together for dinner at one of the nearby restaurants and catch up with old and new friends following dinner. The Marauders get up quite early to wipe down the cars before breakfast and then we all cruise together to the shows marshaling yard.

There are several XLR's here in the Des Moines area; I've seen a couple of red ones, as well as a silver, and yesterday, a blue one. No black ones sighted as yet. I think there are a few more AllantÚs in the area, including mine.
