I was at SNL getting a oil catch can installed when they noticed a vacuum hose was unplugged. They plugged it back in and my car would not run. It turns out that for the last year my car had been tuned to run without the hose, so they started over on the tune. Idle is still at 850 but timing is different and lope sound much better.
They were fixed due to amazing tuning last week, but once this hose was plugged in my tuner had to start completely over as the car would not run. It took several hours but the car runs great and no more idle issues!!! A/C on and in tight parking quarters the idle does not fluctuate.
You got it! They finished up my tune at around 6pm. I didnt feel keeping them later to dyno y car. That only leads to more tuning. I'll be stopping back within a few weeks. Hoping for 420.
I paid $1250 out the door. That included custom cam, PRC high lift dual springs (0.675 lift), PRC chromoly push rods, timing chain sprocket (didnt need timing chain LS2 FTW), full fluid changes, tune and tax.
wtf if it was that cheap over here by me i would hop on that but every tune shop wants atleast 2g's my tuner wants 2100 dont get me wrong its a big piece of mind knowing my tuner does awesome work but dam thats steep for a cam install
There are a lot of LS performance shops in the Dallas area and tons more in Texas. I suppose this helps keep the costs down. They were also running a special for CTS-Vs. I think their normal price is $1400.
Best part of that vid was toward the end after a few revs and the motor settled down into a nice lope.
GREAT sound!
