Has anyone done suede headliiner?
i just got black mats today for my black esc with the cashmere int.. and met my interior guy who said he will do my all suede headliner including front pillars, side pillars and rear pillars, sunroof and both visors... for $850...
seems reasonable and I think black suede headliner on that light interior will look awesome.. anyones opinion?
I put second row individual matts also, not the "T" thing I see everywhere.. I just tink its looks cleaner.
anyone??

That's a good price - I paid more than that, but the material makes a difference. Look at it and feel it - the cheap stuff is worse than what you already have on the truck

The suede I felt was pretty nice...felt like high quality to me... but hey..what do I know..lol
it seems to feel like the same material in my friends s600...

You're going to do the black suede? Than what do you do about the seatbelt, rim round sunroof, other small plastic parts. Will they remain cashmere? I'd love to see a picture. I want to do it too but I want to figure out what to do with all the plastic pieces that will remain the old color

That was my issue Paul - that's why I color matched the suede to the belts and other accessories. Just did roof, visors, and all pillars. If you do black, you have to dye/paint plastic pieces and it gets hard to match and there is no guarantee you will end up with the right shades and finishes.

See, That looks pretty nice, because he has the cashmere seats so it still matches. If he had the black interior, and the only thing left not black was a few light accents (like around the sunroof) i think it would look funny.

Thats just me

Inknu2, that is freakin badass! :yup:
As I was reading it I was thinking "Black with cashmere accents? Blah." After seeing your pictures I love it. That looks really clean and tight. I wish I could find a place in Utah that would do this for $850. Im sold. How much would it cost to do the side pillars, dash and console? That seems like a damn good price. I would try and get everything I could get done with this guy if I were you (as long as the material is good and you have seen his previous work before. You don't want a guy that is learning how to do it learning on your car :nono: ).
