: Quick question about Fleetwoods.

I was playing around on Craigslist last night looking to see if I could find any Fleetwoods locally. There were a couple, but they were all over priced. I expanded my search a little and found a really nice one on the Knoxville CL. Even though I can't afford it right now, I sent the seller an email for the hell of it. Bad idea. Now I really want the car. It's a 1994, white with a white top and blue cloth interior. It has the sunroof, factory CD, and towing package. 157k miles, 2 owner, with Mobile 1 full synthetic oil, synthetic trans fluid and brake fluid since new. Said he even has some maintenance records. I put my ETC on CL to see if I got any interest in it. If I can sell the Eldo and snag this Fleetwood, are there any problem areas that I should check for?

Optispark, broken exhaust manifold bolts, pot metal aux battery post... off the top of my head. At 157k, I would want to see receipts for brakes, oil changes, front end replacement parts. OR, very low price ;)

From what he's told me it sounds like it's been pretty well maintained and he said he has "some records". I can get it for $2,000.

Not crazy about the mat, but it has kept the dash protected and crack free. Supposedly the only thing wrong with the car is the broken turn signal switch that you can see in the pic.

Nice, really like the tint on a white car.

Dash mats are your friend. Embrace them.

Yeah, me too. I'm not crazy about white on a Fleetwood, but for the shape of the car and the price, I really want it.

I personally LOVE the white on the 93-96 Fleets. Looks stately yet powerful. Good find dude!

See what type of records he has and look for any repainted spots. Also take a look under the car just a basic inspection. Look under the engine bay check for oil leaks or if it smokes at all when You take it for a ride see how it shifts. But overall it sounds like a decent deal see if you can talk him down

He said he won't come down from 2 grand. He's up on his Cadillac info. Said he's had 15-16 and has semi-recently sold a '57 Fleetwood, '92 limo, and '87 Deville. He keeps telling me if I want to look at it that his wife works in Cleveland, Tn and will get her to drive it to work one day and I can meet her to see it. I'm tempted to, but I know if I do I will want it more than I already do. Anyone want to buy a nice, clean, well cared for '99 ETC?

That's a beautiful car and parts are lot cheaper than stuffy Northstars lol
BTW, the car sits a bit low or from the angle I might become into delusion and I can see your left exhaust pipe on my ride whatever I do I can't see it lol

Nice car! I say do it! You can always find parts online or from the fleetwood guy!
